Dear Parents, Staff members and Students 

Welcome to Blue Hills preparatory school! We are delighted to have you as part of our school community, and partners in the education of our children. 

I would like to take this opportunity to share some of the positive aspects of our school, making it a unique and enriching educational environment for your children.

Strong Christian Values: Our school is grounded in Christian principles and values, providing a nurturing environment where children can develop not only academically but also morally and spiritually. We strive to foster a sense of compassion, respect, and integrity in our students, helping them grow into well-rounded individuals.

At our school, we place a strong emphasis on academic achievement. We believe in the importance of personalized education. Our smaller class sizes allow our teachers to provide individual attention and support to each student, ensuring that they receive the necessary guidance to thrive academically and personally. We value the uniqueness of each child and work to meet their specific needs. We provide a “Web-of-Care” to support children needing extra attention in certain areas. 

In addition to academic growth, we prioritize character development. Our school strives to instill virtues such as kindness and empathy in our children. As the Principal of Blue Hills Preparatory School, my approach to discipline is rooted in creating a safe and respectful environment that supports the well-being and success of all members of our community. Our discipline strategy is founded on the principles of fai ess, consistency, and positive behavior reinforcement.

 

We believe in promoting good conduct through positive reinforcement, while addressing behavioral issues promptly and effectively. Our discipline policy is clearly communicated to all stakeholders and includes measures such as progressive discipline, counseling, and mediation. Students are provided with resources and support to develop essential social-emotional skills and strategies to manage their behavior.

 

We understand the importance of restorative justice, where students are held accountable for their actions, but also have the opportunity to repair any harm caused and make amends. We work collaboratively with parents and the broader community to reinforce our expectations and provide a consistent approach to discipline.

 

Through regular communication and collaboration, we aim to foster a positive and respectful school culture that prioritizes the well-being and success of our students, staff, and faculty.

Values and Ethos

As the Principal of Blue Hills Preparatory School, I aim to create a school culture that promotes academic excellence, character development, and a commitment to making a positive impact. To achieve this, we will foster a strong sense of community and character development aligned with our school's core values through regular communication and collaboration with parents, faculty, and staff.

 

Students will have opportunities to develop social-emotional skills, engage in service lea ing and leadership programs, and receive support from resources like mentoring and counseling. We will create an inclusive lea ing environment that values diversity and respects individual differences, working towards developing socially responsible students who can make a positive impact in their communities and the world.

 

Blue Hills Preparatory School's strategy for implementing good values and ethos includes a values-based curriculum that promotes social-emotional lea ing and character development.
